Utility Billing

The City of Gustine administers all billing for water, sewer and garbage for all residents within City limits.  To pay online click here.

How do I start services?

In order to start services with the City of Gustine, you must come to City Hall, 682 3rd Avenue and bring the following:

    Renters:    $100 deposit, Identification
    Owners:    Proof of ownership, Identification

Whenever possible, please allow 24-48 hours to have services started.  Deposits will be applied to any unpaid balances on closing bills and, where applicable, any remaining deposits will be returned.

Due Dates and Delinquencies

All bills are due by the 10th of the month or the Monday after if the 10th falls on a weekend.  Any bill not paid the last calendar day of the month will have a 10% penalty charged on the past due balance and will be subject to shut off if the past due balance is not paid within 5 business days.  All accounts with an unpaid past due balance are subject to a $35 administrative fee and must be paid in cash.

How is my bill calculated?

For residential accounts, sewer and refuse are flat fees.  Water begins with a flat fee for the first 500 cubic feet and is metered thereafter.  You can request a copy of fees and how water rates are calculated from the Finance Department at City Hall.

Returned Checks

A $20.00 charge will be imposed for all checks returned by the bank unpaid.  All returned checks must be paid back to the City in cash.  Any check not replaced with cash by the given deadline may subject your account to immediate disconnect.
