 Communications Bureau

The Gustine Police Department contracts with the City of Turlock’s Communications Center for communication services.

All 911 calls and business related calls are answered by Communications Center staff, who provide emergency dispatching for both police and fire.  They also route calls concerning medical emergencies to AMR, and coordinate joint-agency responses when needed. Additionally, they provide dispatching for other city service areas after hours.

     DIAL 911 WHEN…

· An IMMEDIATE police, fire, or medical response is necessary to protect lives or property.  (For example, dialing 911 is appropriate if you are reporting a medical emergency or a crime in progress.)

DIAL 854-1010 WHEN...
  • You are requesting non-emergency police services.  (For example, you should dial this number if you want to report a loud party, a barking dog or noise problem, an abandoned auto, or a vehicle blocking your driveway.)  This helps to ensure that the 911 system remains free for emergency purposes only.

  • You want to report a crime that is not still in progress.  (For example, you should dial this number when you return home to find that your home has been burglarized during your absence and there is no chance that the perpetrator may still be present.)
